Mission Statement
The Newcomer Ambassador Program is a peer-to-peer initiative that fosters a welcoming environment, ensuring newcomers feel safe as they navigate a new academic landscape. Through this program, we create a sense of belonging, connecting students to a community that values their linguistic and cultural heritage. By elevating our multilingual learners to mentorship roles, we simultaneously build leadership capacity in our veteran students while accelerating acceptance for our newest arrivals. Multilingualism is an asset that is often overlooked, this program shines the light on those typically in the shadows.
